Send 'Warmest Regards' to Residents This Winter

It’s no secret that winter in northern Vermont can be long, dark, and dreary.

And that’s in a good year.

This winter, all bets are off, and in an effort to keep spirits lifted throughout the chilliest time of year, we’re asking the public to send cards and letters to Franklin Homestead & Carriage House residents as 2020 ends and the new year begins.

We’re calling this effort exactly what you’ll be sending: Warmest Regards.

We’d love for 2021 to start out on a bright note, and you can help by putting a special greeting in your mailbox to share with some people who have limited contact with others due to health concerns related to COVID-19. Sweet, funny, and thoughtful cards are welcome, as are letters sharing positive thoughts, memories, and stories. Please note in your letter if you are interested in getting a response back.

You can send cards and letters to Warmest Regards, c/o Franklin Homestead & Carriage House, 142 Homestead Drive, Franklin, VT 05457.

And don’t forget that our end-of-year fundraising campaign is underway. Please consider supporting our goal of raising $15,000 by Dec. 31 to help cover expenses related to COVID-19 and rising insurance rates.

Donations can be made online at https://www.fhich.org/donate or by mailing a check to Franklin Homestead, Inc., at 142 Homestead Drive, Franklin, VT 05457.

Thank you for supporting safe, affordable, convenient housing for seniors.
