The big news of the past couple days was word from the CDC that fully vaccinated people can now go about activities without wearing face masks outside or inside. Gov. Phil Scott announced earlier this morning that Vermont will be following these guidelines.
There are, of course, exceptions, including business and workplace guidelines, along with other various rules and regulations.
CDC guidance on all this can be found here. More details on Gov. Scott’s announcement can be found here.
Where does all this leave Franklin Homestead & Carriage House?
We’re pleased to share that we are adopting the guidelines provided by the CDC and the State of Vermont.
Effective immediately, residents, employees, and visitors to our facilities who has been fully vaccinated can be in our buildings without face masks. Anyone in the process of being vaccinated or altogether unvaccinated must still wear a face mask in our buildings when around others.
I do want to point out that if you are fully vaccinated and still want to wear a face mask, that’s cool. For some – myself included – it’ll take some getting used to before being mask-free feels comfortable. And that’s fine.
We’ll navigate these positive changes the same way we got through the difficult ones: together.
And it’s going to be great to see your smiles again.
